Meet Our Instructors

Amira Fulton Jensen

​Mrs. Jensen has been playing piano since the age of 3. She picked up the violin at age 9, started voice lessons at age 12, took up the harp at age 14 and most recently has started learning the guitar. In middle school & high school, Amira completed CM for piano through Advanced level (with honors) and participated in several MTAC piano competitions, including Bach Festival. She also toured Europe with Ventura County's Camerata choir and held several lead vocal roles including Cosette in Les Miserábles and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. Amira holds Bachelor of Music degrees in both Vocal Performance and Piano Performance from Chapman University. During her time in college, she participated in the NATS vocal competition and the Adult Performance competition for piano (where she took 1st place). She also toured the Pacific Northwest as a featured soloist with Chapman University's top choir 'University Singers' and was also a featured soloist in Opera Scenes. During her senior year, she was cast as First Fairy in Chapman's production of The Magic Flute and was a featured vocal soloist in the annual broadway fundraiser 'American Celebration'. Amira has been teaching privately around Orange County since 2011. Her students have successfully passed all levels of Certificate of Merit Testing, been accepted into music schools such as OCSA and AMDA and are parts of various prestigious ensembles such as the Esperanza Show Choir 'Reverberation' and Canyon High School Honors Orchestra. In addition to teaching, she regularly performs at weddings, funerals, corporate gigs, and private events around Orange County. She frequently gives guest lectures for the music department at Chapman University and is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California. Amira's goal as a teacher is to share her love of music with her students and make lessons a fun learning experience. She enjoys teaching all genres and believes that everyone can benefit from learning music, no matter your age, level or instrument.

Emily Morley
Piano Instructor
Emily has been playing the piano since she was six years old. As a teenager, she attended Orange County School of the Arts, where she gave numerous recitals. She is currently finishing up her B.M. in Piano Performance at Cal State Fullerton, where she is a part of various ensembles (including piano-vocal collaboration, piano duo ensemble, and concert choir). She has studied multiple genres of music including rock, pop, and musical theatre, although her emphasis is classical. Emily has played in multiple bands as a keyboardist and also enjoys playing both acoustic and electric guitar. Before joining our team, she worked at Mo's Music in Fullerton for two years where she learned to tune, restring, and repair instruments. Emily loves working with kids and enjoys seeing them progress as young musicians.

My Tran
Piano Instructor
My Tran is a classically trained collaborative pianist and piano teacher in Orange County, who earned her Bachelor's Degree of Music in Piano Performance from Chapman University. She started learning piano at 9 years old and discovered a natural love for it, especially performing. Ms. Tran has participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists from the USC Thornton School of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and the New England Conservatory. She has collaborated and performed with multiple ensembles and won awards in piano competitions such as the CAPMT Sonata-Sonatina Festival and the MTAC Solo Competition. With over 14 years of experience in choral accompanying, Ms. Tran currently serves as a staff accompanist at both Vanguard University and El Dorado High School. Ms. Tran is a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California and has been teaching private lessons in Orange County since 2016. When not accompanying or teaching, she loves to perform at weddings and events across Southern California.

Anne Candela
Piano Instructor
Anne was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She attended Fullerton College, studying Piano Pedagogy in the Applied Music Program. She has studied many genres of music, including classical, pop, musical theater, and jazz. Anne started playing piano when she was six years old. Growing up, she performed in various piano recitals and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a teacher. She has always enjoyed helping people learn and grow and loves working with kids. She has several years of experience working with kids ages 3-18. She makes the lessons fun, implementing concepts that are easy for children to understand. Anne cares about her students’ progress and success. She knows that it is important to have patience and understanding, especially when they are first introduced to the world of music. Anne has also been a dance choreographer for Kids Musical Theater for about 4 years and has studied several forms of dance. If she is not behind a piano, she is dancing, listening to theater or classical music, or hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Timothy Jensen
Instructor of Guitar, Piano, Electric Bass, Upright Bass, Ukulele, Violin, Cello & Music Theory/Composition
Tim started piano lessons at the age of 8 and continued to pursue his passion for music later in life by learning a variety of different string instruments. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance (upright bass) from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB. Tim regularly performs with the Pacific Symphony & Redlands Symphony, and several other SoCal based orchestras. Tim also regularly plays at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim with the group "Five & Dime". He has been teaching privately since 2014. He has also taught Strings at Heritage Oak private school, Santa Ana High School, Walnut High and Suzanne Middle School. In addition to teaching, Tim regularly performs at weddings, corporate gigs and private events around Orange County, and is available for musical transcriptions and arrangements.

Linda Zhou
Piano Instructor
Linda Zhou holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music, studying under Dr. Mikhail Yanovitsky (and previously under Dr. Janice Park during her time at Chapman University). She has taught and accompanied piano across the Tri-State area and Southern California for the last 15 years, working with students ages 4 to 98, from beginner to advanced. Her students have successfully passed MTAC and Royal College exams, as well as preparatory school auditions. Prior to teaching, Linda won a number of competitions and scholarships with MTAC, and performed classical repertoire for audiences and master classes in Chicago to New York to Southern California. She has also held a yoga teacher certification for the last decade, which has influenced her pedagogical focus on injury-free technique.

Jasmine Capitulo
Piano & Accordian Instructor
Jasmine is a musician and teacher based in Southern California. She started her musical journey playing the accordion at the age of 6 and later added on the piano at age 16. She competed and performed in competitions growing up, such as the Accordion Federation of North America (AFNA). Afterward, she studied piano pedagogy at Fullerton College. Currently, Jasmine performs with her band, Eva and the Vagabond Tales, playing various venues and events, such as Downtown Disney and NAMM. Jasmine began teaching in 2016 and has successfully prepared many students for RCM examinations. Her teaching philosophy revolves around patience and creating a safe space for musical exploration. Jasmine's ultimate goal is to nurture a genuine love for music in each of her students.

William Mills​
Piano Instructor
Will Mills is a graduate of Chapman University, where he received a BA in Music. His primary instrument is piano, but he also plays guitar and accordion. Throughout his college experience, Will pursued many performances outlets, including playing guitar as part of Chapman University’s Mariachi Panteras and being a member of the Chapman University Choir. He has a strong passion for music as he feels it has played a significant role in his life. He enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of music with those seeking to fulfill their goals of becoming a musician.

Yllary Cajahuaringa
Vocal Instructor
Yllary is a Southern California native and freelance artist. A graduate of Chapman University, she has performed in a variety of operatic and musical theatre roles including Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Judas in Godspell, Adele in Die Fledermaus and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi. She also performed in collaboration with Pacific Symphony in their Opera for Kids in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2015, she won the Chapman University Vocal Concerto Competition which granted her the opportunity to be the first undergraduate student to perform solo in the new Musco Center for the Arts. In addition to teaching voice, she has musically directed several shows such as Willy Wonka, High School Musical, and Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In 2019 she made her directorial debut at Huston School of music during their fall production of Honk! Jr.

Kaitlyn Irianto
Instructor of Violin, Viola & Piano
Kaitlyn Irianto is a violinist based in Orange County, and has recently completed her undergraduate degree in Violin Performance at Chapman University as a multi-scholarship recipient. During her time at Chapman University, she served as principal and concertmaster of the Chapman Orchestra and as a member of the Temianka String Quartet. Additionally, Kaitlyn was loaned a 1952 Becker violin from the Winston family. She has received various masterclasses from prominent violinists, including members of the Juilliard String Quartet. As an orchestral and chamber musician, she has appeared at the Aspen Music Festival, the Mostly Modern Music Festival and the Atlantic Music Festival. Previous to her undergraduate degree, she studied at the Orange County School of the Arts as part of their strings program. She also grew up taking piano lessons and playing a wide variety of piano repertoire. As a teacher, Kaitlyn believes in helping students discover the joy of playing music whilst providing a solid foundation for developing technique. She hopes to provide students the tools needed in order to develop into lifelong learners, as well as inspire them to find love for music. Kaitlyn is additionally passionate about the capacity music has in promoting healing, and routinely plays music for senior communities around Orange County.

Ashlyn Ashby
Violin Instructor
Ashlyn Ashby has been involved in the arts for the past 25 years, due to her love and enthusiasm for music. Ashlyn graduated with a Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati and earned her Bachelors of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Ashlyn is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California and has coached at numerous summer music festivals and high school. Her students have earned places in the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, Irvine Honors Orchestra and All-Southern Orchestra. Many have also earned MTAC State Honors and performed in the annual Convention Recitals. Ms. Ashby has enjoyed prior performances with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, Firelands Symphony Orchestra, Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra, Riverside City College Symphony, Corona Symphony, and La Sierra University Symphony. She currently performs regularly with the Sea Coast Symphony and the Huntington Beach Symphony. In her free time, she enjoys playing violin at church, running half marathons, hiking, and drinking coffee.

Jorden Enderton
Instructor of Piano & Flute

Jorden Enderton is currently finishing her Bachelor Degree in Flute Performance at Chapman University. She has been playing the flute for 10 years and is has been the principal flutist of the Chapman Wind Symphony and the Chapman Orchestra for the past 4 years. She is also a part of the Chapman Wind Quintet. In her sophomore year, Jorden was named the 1st place winner of Chapman University’s annual concerto competition, where she performed the first movement of Pierre Max Dubois’ Flute Concerto with the Chapman Orchestra. In addition to flute, Jorden has also played the piano since the 3rd grade. Jorden has been teaching young flutists and pianists in the Orange County area for the past 4 years, both privately and at the Irvine Academy of Music.
Jordan Watkins
Instructor of Piano & Voice
Miss Watkins began her music studies at the age of 5 when she took up the piano. She started voice lessons at the age of 12 and became passionate about musical theater, participating in many musicals throughout her high school and junior college years. Jordan is a graduate of the College of the Sequoias, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Vocal Music. During her time there, she sang in both the concert and chamber choirs. She later transferred to California State University at Fullerton, where she is currently pursuing her teaching credential and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Choral Music Education. Jordan is experienced in many different genres of piano and voice, having trained classically in both. She has also played keys and sang vocals in a band for over 5 years. Jordan has loved music from a young age, and hopes to ignite a similar passion and enthusiasm in her students.
